How many times did we drive by having no faith... Masaman is my test. Canned? Hacked? Not here. It's awesome. Most places you get onion, potato, maybe some carrot and a peanut. If you're really lucky you can actually taste the cardamom. Not so plain here. They load it with vegetables (always fine with me) and kick it up a notch with the spice. I loved it. Awesome. I find the south bland in food. This is not southern. So happy. When we were walking out we saw a couple giant plates of something that looked chinese. Going to give that a try next time. Dear Bistro: BREW SOME THAI TEA!!!

So, I completely screwed this review up. My bad. My original review was meant for a place in North Charleston. Here's my updated review. This place still gets three stars from me. I had the pad thai, and my wife had some pan fried gyoza. The pad thai tasted great, and I'd definitely order it again. The gyoza was pretty awesome, too. I'd definitely go back and try some other items. The folks working there really churn out their food in very quick order, and it was ready before I even arrived, and I'm only like five minutes away.

Had cold rolls...huge...good...awesome peanut sauce...will get again!!! Had thai hot and spicy...one shrimp...one beef...tasty...did not swim in sauce...veggies were crisp...and could taste every individual item...(fresh) NOTHING over powered the other... Will come in and sit town... Noticed 3 high rated eateries in the same area woohoo... UPDATE...STOP IN WEEKDAYS TO PICK UP TO GO... FOR WORK...COLD ROLLS...YUMS..MAKE FRESH...YUMO IM ADDICTED...

Should be more customers in this bistro. Our first visit won't be our last. Delicious Pad Thai! Husband loved the basil fried rice. Come on Mt. Pleasanters, give it a try

Good crispy tofu and well balanced flavors in the sauces. Super convenient and affordable.

Nice friendly staff, small basic clean dining room, more of a take out type place. The miso soup was very good, salad was okay (iceberg lettuce which is not my favorite), curry coconut soup was excellent, bomb shrimp appetizer was really good, they were big and fried in a light tempura flake batter, not too heavy. Thai basil chicken entrée was okay, not very spicy, more of a soy based sauce. The general tso chicken and broccoli entrée was okay, the sauce was too sweet for me, it was described as a hot spicy favor and I was looking for heat. The ingredients in all of the dishes were very fresh which is a big bonus. Overall, good solid place and I would try again if in the neighborhood.

The food is excellent, so let's start there. Their Chicken Basil just might be the best Thai I've tried. The sauces used in most other Thai restaurants are never quite to my liking - I've always preferred Chinese - but here was different, and the dish was truly delicious. My wife loved the Thai Mango Shrimp. The shrimp were large, fresh, beautiful and plentiful. The mango slices in her dish were a bit green, but it can be hard to get consistently good mangos, so no real complaints there. For our kiddo, we ordered the Kid's Hibachi Chicken, which turned out to be a portion as large as anything I've ever gotten from a pricy Japanese Hibachi, and was just as tasty. My kid ATE it, which would impress you if you knew my kid. Before I get into service and speed, let me first explain that this is a SMALL family-run place. What I saw seemed like a husband/wife team (or maybe brother/sister) with NO ADDITIONAL HELP. The woman waited tables, ran the register, managed the take-out, and bussed tables; while the man cook everything. With him cooking everything, the wait time for entrees was a bit longer than what you'd find at most bigger chain-food places. But we did get our appetizers and salads quickly, so only the absolutely starving or hurried guests should have too much of an issue with the wait. If you ARE in a hurry, order ahead and take it to go. I saw a number of take-outs being picked up and this might be the way to go. Ultimately, the food is worth the wait. It's a solid step above any of the take-out joints that dot the freeways, serving high-end fresh food at reasonable prices. We will definitely be back to this great place. By the way, it's hidden back behind the Sonic and Drug Store on the corner. Look for it - you'll be happy you did.

The food is okay. Don't order Pad Thai, it was the worst Pad Thai that we've ever eat.

I normally find a silver lining in anything I eat. So this review is hard for me to write. This is easily the worst "thai" food I have ever eaten... In fact after 3 bites of what they call Phad Thai and Green Curry I threw both away. I lived my entire life on the West Coast and have never experienced thai food like this. Perhaps I should have known better when they are called Asian fusion... There is no fusion here.

I love this place. I have been trying several things from their menu over the past few months and am currently addicted to the Singapore noodles. They are thin rice noodles with vegetables, chicken, beef, AND shrimp in a slightly spicy curry sauce. Very, very good. The Thai basil beef is also phenomenal. The beef is very tender and all the dishes are loaded with fresh vegetables, so flavorful. Takeout is fast, they usually have it ready and packaged in ten minutes. I have rarely had to wait, and only when it was super busy. The lady at the front works very hard to keep customers happy, and obviously the chef is top notch. I'm a fan.

Called in a take out order, the person on the phone had no idea as to what was on their menu. We repeated the order back 2 times to the person on the phone. The order was ready really fast but when we got home we were missing half the order. We should have checked before we left, but assumed all was good. We called back and they acted like it was our fault or that we never ordered what was left out. I have never been treated so poorly. Bottom line we will not be back! Horrible treatment and horrible customer service. You messed up and it's my problem? Wrong, we won't be back and have told all of friends. There are too many Asian food places (with better food) within the same proximity to home. Good riddance you arrogant fools!

Food was very good and wine is pourer heavy! Waitress was very attentive to our needs. Food tasted very clean and not gummed up with heavy sauces like normal Asian places. We will be back soon.

Food is quite good and reasonably priced. The crispy sesame chicken is fantastic and the pad Thai is very good as well.

The best Asian food in Mount Pleasant and dare I say the whole Charleston area. It reminds me of the fantastic Asian restaurants in LA at which the decor is simple and the food amazing. The vegetables are fresh and crisp. The sauces and flavors light but bountiful. I'm hooked on the Thai Basil Duck. Half of a duck, juicy with crispy skin on a bed of fresh, crisp asparagus and leeks. There is no rival in Charleston. Tiffany and Andy are from China and experienced restauranteurs who sold their establishment in Fort Walton Beach FL and moved to the. Lowcountry to be near to family. Their prices are very reasonable and the service personal and welcoming. I recommend trying the special dishes. It is a waste of Andy's talents to stay conventional with Pad Thai.
